This John Deere 9RT, a used model, presents with moderate oxidation, acid etching, and paint loss. It's common for the RT series tractors' track wheels to retain water and debris, leading to paint abrasion and rust on the steel.
Our restoration began with sanding the wheel barrels, followed by priming and repainting these areas. We then polished the wheel faces to seamlessly blend the new and existing paint. The tractor's body panels were treated with a two-stage polish to eliminate oxidation and acid etching, especially noticeable on the hood. The lights received a polish to clear the lenses, and the frame rails were polished to restore their shine and gloss. We also replaced the slow-moving vehicle decal on the rear.
After polishing, we prepared every exterior surface to remove any lingering oils. The final step involved applying two coats of our specialized agricultural ceramic coating to the roof, mirrors, glass, cab pillars, tanks, body panels, frame rails, rear end, wheels, track frame assembly, exposed engine block, and weights. This ceramic coating was meticulously applied both by hand and with an airbrush for thorough coverage.
